Big Thompson Fishing Report ::
The Big Thompson has been running an almost steady 100cfs for the last week. These are perfect flows right now for fishing and lately it has proven just that. The water temps and clarity have remained good which has translated into good bug activity and good fishing. There continues to be sporadic hatches taking place throughout the day including BWO's, Caddis, and Midges. Some fish are looking toward the surface but nymph rigs continue to produce the most and the largest fish. Stoneflies have also become more active creating a protein packed food source for fish, especially in the lower to middle canyon. Get out and enjoy the great water and fishing conditions!
